Hiring involved an application via an external provider, followed by a video interview with 6 questions focused on motivation. There were 2 interviewers and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed.

So first I had to do an online application and then a standard online test which wasn't too bad. After that, I had to answer some detailed questions about the FCA and their functions. Then came a telephone interview, so it's really important to research the FCA beforehand, especially checking out their website and YouTube channel. The final stage was the assessment centre, which was pretty tough. The interview there focused on technical economic questions and how the FCA operates. There were also two separate tasks: writing an economic report and analyzing some files, followed by a presentation. Both these tasks had a lot of follow-up questions.

Application Form - had to answer four questions, each 300 words. Telephone Interview - lasted about 30 mins, had a mix of competency and technical questions. Didn't get to the Assessment Centre stage.
- What can you bring to the FCA?
