I was first contacted by the hiring manager for a Digital Marketing role, not a recruiter, who set up a call before any recruiter outreach. After a month with no news, I reached out and was told they were still looking at other people and it might take two more weeks or longer. It was clear they didn't have a solid hiring plan. Later, I saw the job was just taken down from their site, no explanation. This whole thing showed me how important it is for companies to be upfront and consistent, and it made me want to work somewhere that respects a candidate's time and communicates clearly.

First, they do a really thorough background and resume check, calling all your past employers and references. Then, you'll have an interview with Upper Management. It's pretty laid back but still formal, so dress up. This is part of a fortune 500 company, so make sure you read up on reverse mortgages to be ready for basic questions about what they are and who qualifies.

The hiring process was quick, with most hires being referrals. There was one interview, and the offer was accepted on the same day, followed by a drug test and setting a start date.
