I went through an unusual phone screening and interview, but then they ghosted me. It's surprising for a company that emphasizes communication to provide so little of it, or any feedback at all, especially when they were in a rush to fill the position.

So I had this initial phone call, really basic stuff. They asked about my background, if I was cool with traveling a lot (like 80%), and what I knew about the company. Then I got to the next stage, which they called a 'conversation' with the team manager. It was mostly about my preferences for work culture and management style. He actually wanted me to lead the questioning, which I was ready for. I felt like it went really well and the manager hinted that I'd hear back soon for the next step. He even said he'd personally give me feedback no matter what, which was pretty awesome. But then, I followed up a week later, then two weeks, then three weeks... and got absolutely ZERO response. Not from the manager, not from the recruiter. Nothing. It's ridiculous. They talk about Fierce Conversations? What a joke. Don't even bother with them. They won't get back to you, no matter what they promise.

The interview process was really great. I felt welcomed by the panel members, and they really paid attention to my answers, even taking notes. They asked a variety of questions that went beyond the usual basic ones. There were 5 Fierce employees on the panel, which was a bit intimidating at first, but they made me feel comfortable and welcome as the interview went on. Meeting several employees gave me a good sense of the company culture, and when I asked them what they liked most and least about working at Fierce, I got a balanced view of what it would be like to work there.

Applied and answered extra questions about sales experience and career goals. It's a management consultancy based on a book by the ceo, Fierce. I had to read the book before the second interview after a first phone call. After the in-person interview, I did two sales pitch role-playing calls with the recruiter.
