The interview process was really horrible. My first round was an online technical interview on Hacker Rank, which wasn't too difficult and I passed. A week later, I got an email saying I passed and they sent me a link for a one-way video interview via Spark Hire, with a 7-day deadline. The biggest mistake I made was preparing well and submitting the interview on the 7th day. They had already hired someone who submitted their video the day before. I didn't get their logic. They told me to submit within 7 days, which I did, but they didn't even review my video because they hired someone the previous day based on their video. How is that logical? Shouldn't they review all videos and then hire someone deserving? I also faced technical issues during the online interview.

I was contacted by a recruitment company and had an initial phone screen with the QA team manager (about 20 mins) within a few days. Then, I had an onsite interview a few days later (about 2 hours). The onsite had three parts. First, an HR person asked about my salary expectations, my knowledge of the company, and I had to fill out a personal details form. Second, there were 30 questions very similar to ISEB/ISTQB tests, which were marked, and I was told I got about 80% right. This was followed by 3 coding questions. Although I didn't get immediate feedback, I felt I did okay on them. Finally, there was a part with HR and scenario-based questions lasting about an hour. I thought the interview went well, with good rapport, and I answered questions solidly. One interviewer even complimented me. I was hopeful for a positive outcome, but 3 days later, the recruiter told me Fidessa wasn't proceeding. No reason was given. It feels like a waste of time.

The interview was about an hour long and seemed to be split into three parts. There was a written section, some questions about my CV and the job spec, and then some HR-type questions. Overall, it felt like a friendly process. They also asked about Unix, SQL, and some basic finance.
