First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fidelis Care.
VP Operations
I had a 30-minute interview for an executive-level role. The hiring manager was late and took a personal call, leaving only about 15 minutes for the actual interview. It felt very disengaged and unstructured. I was recruited for this opportunity due to my extensive experience and wasn't actively looking, so the experience was disappointing, especially for such a senior position.
- Could you tell me about your background as it relates to your resume?
Prior Authorization Representative
Had one interview with two managers. They were polite and willing to answer questions. Both asked questions about my previous employment and experience. The interview was average. I was contacted by the recruiter with a job offer later, and I was able to negotiate the salary offer. It was a very fair process.
- How would you handle a conflict?
Member Services Associate
I got a job offer within a week of applying. I sent my application on a Monday, got a call Tuesday to set up a face-to-face interview for Wednesday. By Thursday, I had a job offer. Friday, I got an email to approve a background check and verifications. The interview was fast, only 25 minutes. It was a panel interview. They didn't tour me around the building, which made me think I didn't get the job. They said I'd hear back in a week or two, but someone called me the very next day. I'm very happy.
- How do you handle working under pressure?
- What's your understanding of Fidelis?
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
Retention Representative
Fidelis reached out super fast after I applied. The HR person I chatted with knew her stuff and was really direct. Since she wasn't setting up interviews, I had to wait a bit to pick a time to come in. The interview itself went well. I met with the HR rep, the department manager, and my potential supervisor. It lasted about an hour and a half. They laid out my duties really clearly, and I felt good about it all. We didn't talk salary because they said I'd go over that with the HR rep later. I got called back the very next day and accepted the offer a few days after we ironed out a better salary, which only took about 10 minutes to finalize. Everything was professional and went off without a hitch.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging work situation.
- How do you feel about going into strangers' homes, which might be in poor condition?
- What factors did management consider when promoting you previously?
