Software Engineer
I heard back about 2 weeks after I applied. The first interview was with an engineering manager and HR. It was a pretty standard intro interview where they asked about my career path and the tech I've used. The interviewer was really experienced and nice, so it was a smooth conversation. They were open to questions, and I asked about why they were setting up in Pune and expanding their teams to India. I got a response the very next day after the interview, and they wanted me for the next stages. However, I had already accepted a better offer by then, so I had to decline politely. It was a good interview experience overall, and I'd consider applying again in the future. The pay seems decent for the role, not top-tier, but good for someone with around 3 years of experience.
- When would you opt for React? What other frameworks have you used, and what were your reasons for choosing them?
- What's your perspective on the future of CSS?
- Can you elaborate on your experience with TailwindCSS and SASS?
Logistics Coordinator
Found the job on Glassdoor and it looked high percentagely similar to my old jobs, applied, then was contacted a few days later. The HM set me up with a phone interview, and was slightly late to the call. I had offers in progress as well so I informed him of that to push up the process. He asked typical questions about my background, and jumped right into typical situational and behavioral STAR type questions. I went and asked him the company, his own experience, etc. typical ask the company kinda questions, and in general it seemed to go well, and well over time. For the next step, HR contacted me to speak with the Sr. person on the team, as I would work with him the most. The meeting was to be done via Google Meets, but HR didn't inform me the link to the meeting would be within the Google Calendar event. Overall, the Sr. person was late to the meeting as well, so it gave me the impression that because it's a SF Bay Area tech startup like many others, they may have the typical startup culture where it's fast paced overworked kinda thing. He asked also typical STAR questions, but they were a bit harder. A 15 minute interview turned into about 30-40. The entire time we couldn't connect, and there was a lot of miscommunication so I could already tell we would not be a good fit to work with each other. It didn't seem like he knew how to interview or phrase his questions and was not very understanding or picked up on social cues which I could see being potential issues during work.
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- How would you handle shipping an item from SF to Arizona?
- Can you describe a personal weakness relevant to this job?
Customer Success Manager
Got an email to set up a 30-min call with the recruiter. They were super nice, quick, and helpful. Asked general stuff and said they'd be in touch. A few days later, got an email saying the Customer Success Lead wanted to do a video interview. This was the best interview ever! She was really down to earth, genuine, and just wanted to hear about my background and what I was looking for. They then invited me for an on-site, but I had to decline because I realized that the manufacturing role wasn't quite right for me. When I let them know, they were totally understanding and kind. It's a shame I'm not more into manufacturing because they really seem like a great bunch of people to work with.
- What defines excellent customer service in your opinion?

Technical Program Manager
I applied online and had 5 interviews in about a month. I talked to the Recruiter, my US Manager, a Team Mate from India, the India Head of Ops, and the India Lead of Ops. After all these interviews, and spending an hour with each person, they rejected me without any communication or feedback. My advice: improve your hiring process and don't waste candidates' time.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you walk me through completing a specific project from your past experience?
- Tell me about technical questions related to manufacturing.
