To apply, I emailed my cover letter directly to the address in the LinkedIn job posting. It was crucial to read the whole listing so I didn't miss anything. When I interviewed, there wasn't a recruiter yet, but they have one now. The whole process has 3 stages and just involves questions, no project.

The hiring process was really straightforward. It involved three interviews with the hiring manager and two team leads. The questions were pretty standard, mostly focusing on situational or behavioral topics like 'Tell me about a time when...'. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and provided helpful information. The longest interview lasted about an hour.

I was contacted by a recruiter who did an initial screening before the main interview. When I asked what they were looking for, the recruiter mentioned 'energetic,' which I suspect is code for wanting a younger team, although I can't be sure. I didn't get a good vibe from the second interview. The interviewer seemed disinterested from the start, despite my years of experience, top performance in similar roles, industry knowledge, and relevant education. After my rejection, another recruiter for the same position reached out. I informed her about the prior rejection, and she seemed surprised, stating I met all the qualifications. I suspect the decision was based on factors beyond my experience.

The process was okay. The first part was a quick chat with the recruiter, under 20 mins, to ask my questions. The second part was weird, the recruiter gave a hire timeline that seemed impossible given the 4 to 5 steps, unless they already had someone in mind. I mean, you can't interview on a Friday and finish those 4 to 5 steps in 5 business days, which is when they wanted the job filled. I could tell right away from the lack of questions and focus from the interviewer that they had already decided who they were hiring, and were just going through the motions with pointless interviews.
