I interviewed for this role and was told to call them back because they wanted me. That was the first sign that something was off, why should I have to call an employer back after an interview? When I called back, they told me the position was already filled. Spare me next time.

I had a chat with the two franchise co-owners, who were the hiring managers. We talked about my background with animals and general customer service stuff. The whole thing was about 30 minutes and pretty laid-back. I wore a suit and tie, which was way too formal; a polo and khakis would have been fine.

Applied online, then had a zoom interview, followed by a meeting with the coordinator. The whole process took about a week. It was a really nice and easy experience, very manageable and informative! They seem like a great company that actually cares about employees and making sure their hires succeed. They have a good app for clients and keep communication very open!

Interview went well, but when we talked about scheduling the woman got annoyed that I reiterated my availability when she told me the schedule, which was very different than discussed before accepting the job. Overall, I felt hoodwinked and then guilt-tripped.
