First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Feld Entertainment.
Digital Marketing Manager
It was a slow process. After completing all three interviews, which included a panel interview and an interview with a VP, they stopped responding to my emails. After waiting and sending follow-ups for 4 weeks, they sent an email withdrawing my application due to lack of communication, which is a huge red flag for me.
- Could you please tell me more about yourself?
Brand Manager
I had a quick phone screen with HR first. Then, the hiring manager called me for a long, 1.5-hour interview. They went into a lot of detail about the job duties and what success looks like in the role. We also spent a good amount of time discussing my experience related to the position. They mentioned they were still talking to other candidates and would let me know about the next steps. I followed up twice with both the hiring manager and HR, but unfortunately, I never heard back from them. My overall feeling about the company was pretty good after the interview, but not getting a simple 'no thanks' really left a bad impression.
- Tell me about your biggest pet peeve.
Electrician
I found the job through an online ad. After a few days, I got an email with a knowledge test. Once I sent that back, I had a quick phone call. Then, they invited me to meet a traveling production crew who were on the road for an in-person interview. During that meeting, they showed me some of their technical equipment and asked me more specific questions about what I know. After we were done talking, I watched the show they were putting on before heading home.
- Can you explain Ohms law?
- Can you explain Watts Law?
- What do you know about volts?
Graphic Designer
So I had this funny situation where I thought I was going to the wrong place, like I got on a train heading towards Chicago when I should have been going somewhere else. Halfway there I figured out my mistake, but luckily they were really cool about it. They rescheduled for later that day. It was a 30-minute chat where they told me about their work and asked me some standard interview questions. I showed them my demo reel and resume, and about 5 days later they gave me an offer. Other than my little travel mishap, it all went pretty smoothly!
- Could you describe your experience in a workflow where tasks are handed off sequentially from one stage to the next?
