First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FedEx.
Financial Analyst
It was a pretty standard 3-part remote interview process. First, an HR call, then an interview with the hiring manager, and finally a chat with the director and a team panel. The first two stages were pretty typical for a company focused on process, with standard questions and serious interviewers. They even admitted when questions were a bit unclear and were cool about rephrasing. The last round was laid-back, mostly checking for cultural and team fit. Everyone was really professional and I actually enjoyed the conversations. They were also pretty spot-on with their timeline. After stage two, they said it would be two weeks before I heard back, and I got the call for the final round 13 days later. Then, the offer came three business days after that. Overall, it was a smooth, professional, and quite engaging process; honestly one of the better ones I've been through in the last five months.
- Regarding the need to work with large datasets for this role, can you tell me about a model you created using a lot of data and what software you utilized for it?
Finance Associate
There were three rounds in the interview process. The first round was a personal interview, followed by a technical round, and then a behavioral round. During the first round, they asked about me, my family, and my qualifications. The technical round focused on accounting entries, my understanding of taxes, and other aspects of recorded reports. The final round involved presenting hypothetical situations and asking me to explain how I would handle them based on my personal or professional experience.
- Can you provide journal entries for some specific scenarios?

found job posting on FedEx website, hiring manager called and did a phone interview that was about an hour, then had to do an Excel exercise. After that, I went in for a panel interview with 3 people and also a 1:1 with the Director and future peers. Got an offer letter in the end. Tried to negotiate salary but the hiring manager wasn't budging.
- The Excel exercise was detailed.
- The Excel exercise did not provide much context.
