Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FedEx.
Analyst
The process involved describing my experiences, highlighting strengths and challenges. There was a practical Excel test, and discussions about career path, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. They focused on my professional journey (like 'Tell me about yourself', 'What were your achievements?'), my strengths and weaknesses, my motivations for the role ('Why do you want to work here?'), my career goals ('Where do you see yourself in five years?'), and my ability to adapt and solve problems ('How do you handle pressure?'). The expectation was for answers showing I fit the company culture and the position.
- Could you tell me about yourself and your professional journey?
- What have been your accomplishments?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?

It was 3 rounds. The first was with the hiring manager, the second was a case interview, and the third was with the director. The case interview was tougher since there were three people/roles on the call. They asked stuff not in the JD like the exact steps to implement a feature to the app.
- Can you describe scenario-based questions concerning projects?

Applied online, then got an email to fill out another form. An admin assistant called to schedule a phone interview, and details were emailed. Had a 30-minute phone interview with the manager. After that, they scheduled an in-person panel interview and a group interview. The panel interview had three managers asking behavioral questions for an hour; they asked pre-set questions and took notes. The group interview was informal at a coffee house for an hour with all non-managers. Got an offer via email and accepted it online. A background check and drug screen were done before hire.
- Be ready for standard behavioral questions and have your responses ready.
