It started with a phone screening, then two virtual interviews, and they asked some general, average questions. The whole thing was done in under a month, so you could get hired and start pretty fast. Everything went pretty smoothly.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I was initially told it would be a two-step process, but it ended up being a four-step process, with the goalposts constantly moving. They refused to reschedule the first interview even after I contracted COVID. Additionally, they expected me to drive to their head office, which was a 300km round trip for me, essentially acting as an application fee. They were also continuously misleading. After the third interview (which was supposed to be the last), I was told a decision would be made after I provided references. However, they reneged on this and asked for further interviews after contacting my references. It's highly unprofessional and dishonest, as references are typically for verifying employment and making an offer, not for requesting more interviews. A major red flag was the hiring manager's refusal to share details about quotas, KPIs, or past rep performance, which are crucial for any sales rep. This cloak-and-dagger approach was very odd. Furthermore, the managing director no-showed for the fourth interview, forcing me to drive in again. After the fourth interview, I was told a decision would be made that day, but they lied again. They then claimed to have unexpected applicants and wanted me to wait another two weeks, assuring me I was 'right there.' I declined to wait and withdrew my application due to the lies and dishonesty, as they wouldn't make an offer. I would avoid this role and company if you have other options.

Applied online and got contacted by a junior recruiter. I spoke with her twice on the phone, and the third time was a web video call. The conversations seemed to go well and the questions were straightforward. However, I never heard back from the recruiter. I emailed and left a voicemail for an update. It's annoying how companies put you through a process, like three actual conversations with the inexperienced recruiter, but don't even respond to your email or voicemail.
