First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Intern
It was a long but rewarding interview process. I went through an interview where there was a board of agents who questioned me on a situational standpoint. Use the STAR method when answering these questions as they want to know specific details.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Intern
So you meet two interviewers in a room, and they have your resume and some questions ready. You have to sign an NDA, so I can't share specifics. But basically, the questions are pretty standard. It's worth noting that even if you're applying for a specific role as an intern, you're technically up for any role. Like, if you're a CS major, they might put you in a non-CS role, which they explained to me. Oh, and before the interview, they asked for our social security numbers via email, which was a bit weird, but they did let us call instead.
- What are your thoughts on signing an NDA?
- Can you describe a typical question an employer might ask during an interview?
- What are your expectations for this internship position?
Intern
It was a very formal interview with a set structure. They had specific questions and places to write down answers, making it hard to have a natural conversation. They asked both interview-type questions and background check questions. Two interviewers took turns asking questions.
