I applied online through indeed.com. A recruiter reached out and sent me some prescreen questions on a pdf. Once I finished that, I had an interview with the director of customer support, which lasted about 30 minutes. The questions were pretty standard for a first interview. Then, I interviewed with the CEO/Owner. He asked me more personal questions and talked about his offices in Canada and Las Vegas. The interview went okay, and they said they'd get back to me in a few days with a potential offer. The whole process and communication felt professional. The owner has a unique personality and mentioned it's a family business that looks after its employees. They seem like great people, but I'm not entirely sure about the actual work culture. Update: They sent a written offer 2 days later, which I signed and returned with my references. They didn't do a background check but said they'd call with next steps. They called the next day about a potential start date, and we set it for 1.5 weeks later. I emailed/called them for the official email/location for the first day. I was able to speak to someone the next business day, and they'll be calling with more info for the start day.

I spoke with the software development manager and the director of development. They asked about my past work experience and talked about the job I would be doing. I got to ask questions, and they only asked me things I was comfortable with. They asked a few small technical questions to see if I knew my stuff. Then, I interviewed with the CEO. He asked me some personal questions, but it felt genuine because he mentioned wanting people for a long and fulfilling career. After I was hired, there was a three-week training period. It was a lot of information, but I managed to get up to speed on the company's daily operations, their tech stack, and started learning their programming language.

You'll meet with the department supervisor, likely via video call to their Ontario office. They'll ask about your background and experience. You can jump in and talk about yourself to impress them. Be ready to share personal details from the last decade, like where you've lived, why you moved, and how long you stayed. They might also ask about your personal relationships, how long they've lasted, and details about your spouse or partner if you're married.

The interview process was a two part interview. It was a smooth process. The job was ok, kinda scattered with information and nothing was dynamically the same. But, it was a good learning experience and stepping stool job.
