I applied on their website and got a call back a few hours later. We did a quick phone screening where they asked me about my experience with the MS Package (Word, Excel, etc.). They then asked about my salary expectations. When I told them, they immediately said the salary for this role is $40K, which is what the listing said it starts at. They wouldn't budge on the salary, no matter my experience. They ended the call, which felt a bit unprofessional at the end.

I applied online and then got an email leading to a call with some quick screening questions, like if I knew how to use Word's track changes. The office was a bit tricky to find but the email had good instructions. I was taken to a small conference room for an interview with two people, mostly basic interview questions. They asked about my weaknesses and I said I didn't have experience in this type of job. They asked if I could work overtime, which is necessary for the job, and I said yes. Then, some upper management asked more off-the-cuff questions like 'where do you see yourself in 5 years?'. At the end, they asked if I could stay for job shadowing, which I did, but it can be rescheduled. Job shadowing involved learning document editing from the QA manager, then I had to proofread two files and create a translation template in Word, which required knowing how to use tables. I got an offer the next week.

Behavioral Other

It was a really chill interview. The interviewer asked about my life and interests instead of super formal questions. She told me about the job and asked what appealed to me about it. At the end, there's a small test to see if you'd like the work, it's not hard, just follow the instructions carefully! Best of luck!
