The first interview was in a group setting. I had 30 minutes to analyze charts and data for a fictional store and then present it back to my interviewer in a one-on-one session. After that, there was a more traditional interview with standard questions. Following the one-on-one interviews, there were group assessments. The next round involved an interview with the area manager for the store I applied for. For this, I was given more documents and charts specific to that store and asked to prepare a SWOT analysis. I was told to not take too long, but no specific time was given. Then, I met the area manager, who asked about me and then I presented my findings. I didn't get the job. The feedback was that they wanted to see more focus on people management, but the SWOT analysis didn't really allow for that. It felt like they didn't consider the first interview since I talked about it a lot. I think they already had someone in mind for the job because the feedback email didn't make much sense.

Went through a quick phone chat, then a 4-hour group assessment, followed by what I thought was a final chat with the regional manager. Turns out, after the tough group assessment, they said I was the only one moving on to the final stage. This final stage was supposed to be a quick coffee with the regional manager, but it ended up being an interview with two regional managers. The whole thing was less than 30 minutes, and I felt like they made up their minds super fast. Funny thing is, they didn't even have my CV because of IT issues. Seemed like a huge waste of time after the draining assessment. Seriously think the company needs to rethink how they pick people!
