DataOps Engineer
The interview process for the DataOps Engineer position at Fastmarkets was great – really smooth and they let me know what was happening. First, I spoke with a recruiter from Prism Digital. Then, I interviewed with Carl Manning, who is the Head of SRE / Cloud Engineering. After that, I had another interview with Carl, a Data Architect, and a DevOps Engineer. Prism Digital was awesome during the whole thing, super professional and always kept me in the loop. Carl Manning is a great leader, really supportive and approachable, and he seemed interested in more than just my technical skills. He made things comfortable and asked questions that made me think. All in all, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had, and I'm so glad to be on Carl's team now at Fastmarkets.

Research Analyst
I had an initial screening that went well, they seemed interested in my background and abilities. The next interview was also positive and they wanted to proceed. Then I had a third interview with a Senior from the department, which also went fine and we discussed what's next. But after that, it was complete silence. Nobody ever got back to me. It's been 4 weeks since my last interview and they didn't even bother to send a rejection. My advice is to avoid this company; they're really unprofessional and you'll end up regretting getting your hopes up.

Customer Success Manager
I applied to two CSM jobs and had an initial screen with a recruiter. They told me to interview for the lower-paying role because the other one was filled, which I agreed to because I was curious. The next interview went fine, but I realized there was a disconnect during the QBR round. I don't have SaaS experience, but I have tech consulting experience with account expansion and retention. In custom software, success metrics are often qualitative, so expecting only quantitative metrics for a QBR didn't make sense. They also didn't want to roleplay as customers, which is standard for these interviews. The lack of clarity and the bait-and-switch for the lower salary role, especially since the higher-paying one was still posted, gave me serious concerns. The biggest red flag was the lack of follow-up; I never got even an automated rejection after investing several hours. This reflected poorly on their culture and how they value people, leaving me disappointed.

Conference Producer
The interview process wasn't too tough, there were 3 stages as far as I know, but I was ghosted after the second stage. The first interview went well. My interviewer was nice and seemed really impressed with my knowledge of Fastmarkets and my past events experience. The second interview is when things went south. It had to be rescheduled a few times because the interviewer wasn't available and when the (video) interview did happen, the interviewer didn't have their camera on. I don't mind the camera not being on, but this should have been communicated way ahead of time OR the interview should have been a phone interview instead. The next stage was an in-person group interview with a presentation, but I never got to this stage because I was ghosted.
