I had two interviews. The first was a quick 30 minute video call where they asked about OOP and SQL. The second interview was scheduled a month later, which gave me time to really focus on SQL. This interview was 2 hours long, also via video. It started with their version of an IQ test, which had word scrambles, basic math problems, and pattern recognition tasks. I found it pretty easy, only needing to jot down one math problem. After the test, I spoke with a team and project lead. They inquired about my past experiences and how they led me to this point. We then worked through some riddles together. The technical part involved writing pseudocode to identify the first 100 prime numbers and then doing some SQL joins. This was my first technical interview as I transition careers, and I felt the entire process went incredibly well! The energy was great, especially in the second interview. What stood out most was their emphasis on my thought process over just the final answers, which really resonated with me. I think they appreciated my enthusiasm in solving problems. I was ultimately extended an offer for a salary higher than I expected. I'm really looking forward to joining this company; they seem to genuinely value their employees based on how I was treated and the benefits offered.

The interview process had about 3 to 4 steps. It was a pretty good process overall, and the questions seemed to be mostly about personality. The process did take a bit of time, with a few days between each interview step.

I first met a recruiter at a career fair, then I had a zoom interview. They asked me about OOP and C stuff, and also about SQL since they use C#. For the next interview, they asked more logic questions and also if I was okay with relocating every 2-3 years.
