I applied online for the Loan Officer position at Colonial Farm Credit after seeing it on Glassdoor. About two weeks later, HR reached out via email to set up an in-person interview. The interview panel included the Director of HR, the Chief Lending Officer for Branch Operations, a loan officer who would have been my supervisor, and the HR Administrator who set up the interview. While everyone was professional during the interview, that's where it ended. I followed up with HR the next day by email, thanking them and asking more questions about Farm Credit and the role, but they never replied. I also sent thank-you notes via mail to all the interviewers. It's been almost two months since the interview and I've heard nothing back, so I assume I won't be getting a second interview or the job. Considering I took a day off work and drove two hours round trip, I would expect at least a quick email or letter letting me know I didn't get the job. But nope, nothing! I eventually found out from an old college friend who works there that the position had been filled a while ago. It's a really unprofessional way to do business, common nowadays, sadly even in rural areas.

I had to complete a lengthy paper application first. Then, I received an email to schedule an interview. I selected a convenient time. The first interview was with two friendly and approachable interviewers. After that, they called to let me know I had another interview. This second one was with the CEO and two other people, so three in total. It was a bit challenging because the CEO was present, and I was quite nervous.
