The interview process was in Mandarin. It started with a self-introduction, followed by job competency questions. Examples of these included how I would prioritize my tasks and strategies for acquiring new clients.

There will be an employee who will call to schedule a specific interview before the recruitment process. The Area Manager will conduct the first round of interviews via conference call at the scheduled time. These interviews typically last for about 15 minutes.

In my second interview, the interviewer asked some unprofessional and disrespectful questions. The very first thing I heard was "So you are from TAIWAN?" After three questions, he made a comment that "some jobs are better suited for men because men are more scrupulous than women," "For women, they are better in colour sensitivity," "You do not need to stay in this field." Also, he said that "you did not graduate from computer science department and you graduated a log time ago. In fact, Technology in Taiwan and Canada is WORST than China." I told him that I have 3 years of experience in this field before he made the above comments. As a female, I do not recommend this company.

We started with a self-introduction. Then, there was a design question about architecting a high-performance order system using microservices and including monitoring. We also discussed performance tuning. Following that, a coding exercise involved solving a pre-defined data problem. The role involves overseeing daily operations, infrastructure, security, and development of the company’s websites, participating in adopting best practices and process improvements, and recommending technological developments for efficiency. It also requires understanding and collaborating with relevant teams on the complete product life.
