First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fantasy.
IT
Great interview process, great people. 4 rounds, meeting with multiple departments. Amazing employees, who all have the same goal. They really went in-depth with the job and what this person would be in charge of. You can really feel how dedicated they each were to their role.
- Why are you interested in working with us?
Intern
It was a two-step interview process. First, I met the team, and then I met my hiring manager. Mostly behavioral questions were asked, and it felt very conversational, which was nice. The process was a bit disorganized because the recruiter wasn't that responsive.
- Can you tell me about yourself and walk me through your resume?
Analytics Lead
Started with a call with a recruiter. Then had a 1:1 call with the insights director, which was really friendly and helpful for understanding the role and team. They set up the call via email. After that, I got an email from recruiting with directions on how to get ready for a group interview and to bring case studies of my work. Then there was a 1-hour group video call with a director, group director, and two people from similar roles like UX and product leads/directors. We introduced ourselves, I did my presentation, and there was time for questions during and after, and they gave feedback. When they decided to make an offer, I got an email from the recruiter to set up a call.
- Regarding the work examples I presented, is there anything you would approach differently?
Designer
I was contacted via email for an initial interview with a visual designer. The conversation felt cold and robotic. There was a lack of clarity about the role and the interview process. After that, I was ghosted for three weeks. I had to chase for a follow-up, and when I finally got one, it involved the recruiter and the initial designer. When I asked for a decision, I was ignored by both until I heard back from someone I hadn't spoken to before. I also asked for feedback on my interview, but was ignored again. The team felt disconnected, and communication was poor.
- Could you tell me about a project you've worked on?
- What motivates you to want to join Fantasy?
