Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

Applied online and got a call from a recruiter for a quick phone screen. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The first interview was standard, asking about situations, metrics, team management, and my definition of a product. I did well, so they scheduled a second round involving a case study presentation with a slide deck. HR took a long time, about 3-4 weeks, to schedule this. They initially forgot to send the prompt with the invite, so I had to reschedule. After another week, HR eventually sent the prompt when I reminded them. The HR and hiring team's handling of this process was poor, leading to wasted time.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process took about 10 weeks. I applied online and then HR reached out for a screener. Next, I interviewed with the hiring Sr. Director. After that, there was a 3-person panel interview focusing on domain expertise, product design, and behavioral fit. I also completed a prompt exercise. The final interview was with the SVP, which got delayed and rescheduled. I got generally good positive feedback in real-time, especially on the case prompt exercise and my prior experience. Then there was radio silence for about 10 days after the final chat, and HR emailed to say they were doing candidate debriefs and would share an update soon. HR sent another follow-up email saying an update was forthcoming and asked about my other job prospects. I confirmed I'd finished final loops with 2 other companies and had a competing offer to decide on by the end of the week. The delay in updates made me think they'd offered someone else and were waiting to see if they accepted before telling me. Finally, HR asked to schedule a call to confirm they were moving forward with another candidate. I wished them luck and hoped the other person was a good fit.
