Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FanDuel.
Account Manager
The recruiter reached out via email to schedule a meeting. During the interview, the recruiter seemed more interested in HR-type questions rather than the candidate's qualifications. It felt like the recruiter wasn't trying to understand the candidate's background.
- Tell me about your background and how it applies to this role.
Account Manager
The first step isn't with a live person, it's on a platform like HireVue. After that, you'll talk to an actual person.
- Can you describe a past project?
Account Manager
I reached out on Linkedin and had 2 phone screens initially. Then I got an email about a final round interview. I followed up 3 times about the date, and the recruiter said the team was in LA so I'd have to wait a week after the date he gave me. So I finally had my in-person interview. I prepared new ideation proposals which seemed to get good feedback. I followed up with interviewers and the recruiter, but never heard back. I followed up again a week later and then the week after that, still respectful and hopeful, but they still didn't respond. It's unprofessional to ghost candidates after they put in so much time and effort.
- Can you explain how your background and experience align with the requirements of this role?
