First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fanatics.
Staff Accountant
Very open interview. Very conversational, instead of interrogation. Positive employees. One of the more interesting ways to ask about previous employers is to find out what you consider to be the best job you have held in the past. This is a great way for an employer to find out what kind of employee you are like by asking you about your previous jobs. What you did in relation to the company, how you felt about the company – all of these tell the employer a great deal about what kind of a worker you are like.
- Can you discuss the courses you've taken that are relevant to this position?
- How do you approach working as part of a team?
Staff Accountant
Signed in at the front desk and chilled in the waiting room, which had nice TVs with sports on and sports/business magazines. Chatted with the team before meeting the Controller in their office for the interview. Then, some other Senior management joined. It was pretty chill, lots of laughs, and we got a good feel for the business and what the accounting role involves. Finished with a building tour, checking out the break areas, cafe (with sports TV still on), and the gaming area with new consoles.
- Why did you decide to apply to Fanatics?
Staff Accountant
Applied online and a recruiter from HR reached out 2 days later for a video interview. I was told I’d hear back in about a week, but two weeks went by and I never heard back. I reached out again and was told they’re still reviewing candidates. I never heard back again, so don’t waste your time. They don’t even have the decency to send a rejection message.
