First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FamilyMart.
Intern
The interview process was really simple. After I sent in my resume, HR got in touch in less than a week. They asked basic questions, mainly about introducing myself and why I'm interested in this role. It was a good experience overall.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What makes you interested in this opportunity?
Account Manager
For the first stage, the HR person will ask about your motivation for applying and your reasons for previous job changes. In the second round, the hiring manager will inquire about the distinctions between FamilyMart and 7-11 and why you're a good fit for the position.
- What motivates your application for this role?
- Could you explain your reasons for departing from your prior job?
- What sets FamilyMart apart from 7-11?
Construction Supervisor
It was okay, there were 3 interviewers. For a role that requires 80% travel all over Malaysia, you are expected to use your own car. My expected salary was not that high, but HR was squeezing for money and I have 3 years experience. They only wanted someone that can travel and report, but for me, a role with so much travel should provide a company car. The salary negotiation was ridiculous for that role. Didn't really expect that for a big company.
- What is your understanding of this position.
Cashier
The interview was pretty easy. They asked me stuff about my past customer service jobs, when I can work, and how I'd deal with typical things that happen at the cashier. It was quick and nice, and I got to explain how I handle money, help people, and keep up when it's busy.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
- What's your availability like?
- How would you handle typical cashier counter situations?
