HR
So I got rejected initially by email, saying I wasn't a fit. Then like weeks later, they sent me a link to interview for the same job again, no explanation why. I did the interview, I think I nailed it, but then got rejected again super fast. It was really discouraging because the recruiter was super positive about my answers too. Felt like a total waste of time and energy. I'd say reconsider if it's worth it if you're in a similar situation.
- Can you tell me about your past jobs?
- Could you describe your background?
People Operations Manager
I met with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, and some other people from the team. The interview process was super efficient and fast, which was different from other companies. It was great meeting everyone, and it's obvious that the Fairmarkit culture is very collaborative and efficient.
- How do you build trust with your leadership team?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was quite disorganized. Although I typically only apply for roles I'm well-suited for, it felt like I might have been mistakenly selected for this one. I applied online and within days got an email saying my application was chosen and to pick an interview slot. I did that. On the interview day, I got an automated email stating my application wasn't selected, but I disregarded it since it seemed like a generic message. The initial phone screen was delayed because I had to remind them about it. During the screen, I felt like I was interrupting the interviewer, as I could hear background noises like rustling papers and them sounding out of breath. Furthermore, the 'phone screen' consisted of questions about my hobbies, where I'm from, and what I enjoy doing for fun. It felt like forced casual chat, with no professional questions asked, which reinforced my feeling that my application was a mistake. We then scheduled a second interview via Zoom, which went well. The interviewer had only been at the company for a month, so I couldn't ask much about it, but it was fine otherwise. A week later, I received a confusing email from the initial interviewer asking to reschedule the first interview I had already completed. I ignored this and sent a follow-up email thanking them for the meeting. Overall, I strongly suspect I was included in the interview process by mistake. Instead of a personalized email explaining the error, they seemingly sent an automated one, perhaps hoping I wouldn't show up. It was highly unprofessional; while market conditions mean mistakes happen, we're still individuals behind the applications.
- Where do you hail from?
- Where is your current residence?
Sales Director
The interview process had 6 stages, including meeting with the recruiter, manager, director, an Account Executive (AE), a Sales Engineer (SE), and a panel review. The interview questions were pretty standard, focusing on how to structure a deal, previous experience, and specific deal examples. It was very role-specific and directly on topic. Overall, it was a positive experience; everyone I met was open, friendly, and skilled. Yasmin, the recruiter, was great, keeping me informed about what was happening. Since I had other offers, she made an effort to schedule interviews quickly. The whole process took about 3 weeks.
- Can you describe your approach to structuring a deal?
- What relevant experience do you bring to this role?
- Could you walk me through a significant deal you've closed?
