Applied online and the application portal was updated regularly. It took about 3 weeks from when I applied to get a call to schedule the interview. It was a panel interview. The interviewers gave us questions and 10 minutes to prep answers before each panelist asked their questions in turn. They had slides, but the process wasn't super clear and felt a bit disorganized.

I applied online on the county website. A few weeks after the closing date, they called me to set up an in-person interview. The receptionist gave me a questionnaire to fill out in 30 minutes, giving me an overview of the questions that would be asked. Fire and Rescue officials and team members, about 5 people, were on the panel. They asked several technical questions about SQL, Vb.Net, and other topics. A few weeks later, they called me for another round, a practical examination. In this round, they gave me a list of technical questions and asked me to write down the answers. The questions were mainly about ASP.Net, SQL Server, and HTML. I was not selected for the position, but it was a pleasant experience and the people were kind and respectful.

This is to give you an idea of the timelines. It took about a month from the job posting closing for me to hear back that I made the interview list. The first round was about ten minutes to prep answers to some prompts. The second interview was a week after the first, and it was a panel with some senior folks. Then the offer letter came a few weeks after that.
