I met Fair at the university career fair and was really impressed by their product, something I'd seen in a YouTube ad before. I kept in touch with one of the developers from the event and got a referral when an internship opened up. I ended up having 3 interview rounds with team members, with two interviewers each time. It was my first DS intern interview, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My coding skills weren't the best because I hadn't coded much recently. The overall experience was great, the recruiter was responsive, and the interviewers were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed talking with everyone on the team.

The recruiter, Belinda, was super responsive, friendly, and professional throughout. It felt easy to ask anything. After a quick phone call and a technical test, I was quickly moved to the on-site interview. Upon arrival, the office had all the expected perks of a big company, and the location was beautiful. The on-site itself was one of the best I've done. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in my skills, not just going through the motions. They were good communicators, explained things clearly, and helped me make sure my answers were understood. The office felt like a place where I could be myself and do important work, not just a job. I got the offer and I'm happy with my decision. I definitely recommend it!

The whole process took about a week. I got an email the same day I applied to set up a phone interview (super fast!). In the phone interview, we talked about the job duties and company benefits. If that went well, the next step was a Video Chat Interview. They asked me more about my resume, so remember to smile and show enthusiasm. After the video chat, I had to do an online assessment. Answer the questions well. If management thinks you're a good fit after all these steps, they'll offer you a position.

Behavioral Technical Coding

All interviews were remote back in Q2 2020. Started with a quick recruiter call, maybe 10-15 minutes. Then there was a "Values" video interview on Zoom, mostly HR stuff, about 45 minutes. After that, a technical interview with a developer, lasting an hour. They gave me a React coding challenge to solve live, with the first 10-15 minutes used to chat about my background. The final stage is a panel interview.
