I was asked for an interview and attended an online exam. I was asked for my expected CTC in the online registration form and I wrote it as per my expectations. I passed the online exam. Later, they again asked for the same details of my profile and expected CTC in a written application form. Now they said we can't give the CTC. Bad part is I qualified in the online exam but cannot attend the interview. The reason said by HR is we can't have that much budget. Before sending an email to job seekers, please mention your CTC.

Technical Coding Presentation

I got an email from FactSet for a written test, to pass it you need to prep JavaScript, JSP, and SQL. The next day, FactSet called saying I passed the written test and need to attend a JAM session. In the JAM, it's personal introduction and a presentation on a topic like favorite holiday destination or author. I passed JAM easily, and results were instant. They said they'd call in 2 days, but I got a call after 10 days for the technical round, which was the third round. I couldn't pass this round... There are 2 more rounds after this.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • For the technical round, you need to prepare thoroughly. If you clear this round, you've completed 90% of the interview process, and I'd say the job is yours for sure. Expect questions from Java, HTML, CSS, and you need to know your project completely as mentioned in your resume.
  • I was unable to answer questions about exception handling.
  • They asked me to write a program for swapping two numbers, which I couldn't do.

Technical Behavioral

You should be really knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle and have a lot of hands-on experience with manual testing. If you've worked with QA teams that are offshore, that would be a bonus. Be ready to demonstrate how you'd test an application even if it doesn't have any specs; they might just give you an app to test.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Describe your experience with the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Provide details of your manual testing experience.
  • Do you have experience with offshore QA teams?
