There were 2 parts to the interview process: a competency-based interview and a written assessment of a case scenario. The interviewers were really nice and did a great job. The assessments were also pretty easy to figure out.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with conflict?

I had an interview with HR and a language test because I'm not a native speaker, even though I have IELTS 7.5 and an LLM. The interviewer didn't seem to know the role or the market, and the interview was really basic with simple questions.
- Can you share details about your previous work experience?
- Regarding the language test, could you please turn on your camera? This felt invasive.
Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer
I applied online and then got an email to schedule a call with HR. The recruiter could only do early mornings because of time zones, so I first set it up for Monday at 7am. She never called. I emailed her to follow up, and she replied that it was actually scheduled for the next Monday and apologized for the confusion, saying the ATS was glitching. She asked if I could speak the following Monday morning instead. I couldn’t, so I asked for her availability and we finally rescheduled for two days later at 6:30am. I felt like she was just going through the motions as a courtesy because of the mix-up and the super early call time. The recruiter sounded like she was reading a script and had a really strong Irish accent. It was hard to have a real conversation, and it was 6:30am so I was groggy but tried my best. She mentioned the next steps and said she'd let me know by Friday. I got an automated rejection on Tuesday.
- Regarding your salary expectations, what is the range you are looking for?

Applied on LinkedIn and then the HR called to schedule an interview with two managers. I felt like I presented myself well and answered their questions, but they were looking for textbook answers, not situation-based answers, which is how things work in law. The company doesn't seem to value work experience. I wasn't selected. The HR contacted me again for a similar role and set up another interview. They asked almost the same questions, and I answered them. Their professionalism was high. Another HR sent me a rejection email the next day. I never heard back from the HR who scheduled the interview. It felt like they just wanted to interview me for diversity purposes and didn't actually intend to hire me. If they did, they wouldn't reject me twice for the same questions. I'm an experienced candidate who relocated to Belfast and thought I'd start with a beginner role where they claimed they'd provide training, but I still didn't get the job. I'm not sure if it was my fault, but it felt like a complete waste of time interviewing with Factor.
