Esthetician
My interview was on time and very thorough. The owner interviewed me. She first asked me to tell her about myself then went through questions concerning customer service, sales techniques, how to handle difficult situations with staff and clients. Then multiple questions about chemical peels. Being a new esthetician they were some what hard but I did fairly well. The whole process lasted an hour maybe a little more. I was hired for one location but requested for a different one once they had room. She explained someone was in line in front of me but promptly called me after the interview to say I could have it! The other employee decided to stay where she was so to not leave her clients. Due to me having other experience (massage/management) I was able to slightly negotiate the pay. Very happy with my experience. The owner was very friendly and has a lot of energy. You can tell she loves what she does.
- On which skin type would you consider applying a glycolic acid treatment?
SPA Coordinator
I was supposed to interview with the owner, but the business development manager showed up late and said she didn't know she was supposed to be there. I mentioned I had another appointment, so she suggested we make it quick. We went to the training room where she read basic questions from a sheet. Then she talked about pay and commission, giving me numbers of what current coordinators make (which were way higher than what I was promised). She then offered me the job and told me to schedule my drug test to move forward.
- What were the basic questions from the sheet?
Esthetician
The interviewer asked some basic esthetic questions. I got the impression they're pretty flexible with hiring. They asked about my experience, and they seemed fine with me being a new grad.
- What benefits come with a facial?
- Tell me about your experience.
