So the process kicked off with a chat with a recruiter, who was super nice and also really good at hyping up the company and explaining what they do. After that, I had a 45-minute call with the hiring manager. This interview felt really well-organized, and the questions seemed fair and thought-provoking. The final stage was an in-person interview in London. It involved a role-play, where I had 45 minutes to prep with a brief given on the spot, followed by a 45-minute presentation and Q&A with the head of CS and their boss. Then, there was a 30-minute values interview with another team member. Honestly, the whole experience was great; everyone was lovely and respectful, and they were super clear about what to expect at each step.

Had a phone chat with Talent Acquisition for about 30 minutes to go over the role, pay, and how the hiring thing works. They were super open and nice about everything. Then, a Zoom call with the Hiring Manager where we went deeper into the role and they asked some good questions. After that was an in-person assessment at their office, which was great. Instead of a take-home, we did it there so everyone had the same time and tools, which I thought was a good way to make it fair. It was pretty tough, and then we had to present the assignment. Right after that, there was an in-person values interview, which is a good way to see if we align on how to work together. All in all, it took about 90 minutes.

The whole hiring process was kinda unclear and took a long time. First, it took 7 days from applying to the HR screening. Then, it was another 6 days for the Hiring Manager round. After that, it took 5 more days to hear back that I was moving on to the next steps. Finally, after a whole 32 days, they let me know the hiring manager changed their mind and wouldn't be moving forward with my application. I followed up over 10 times with the HR coordinator between stages 3 and 4, but they never responded and it felt pretty cold.
