I applied on indeed and was called about a week later. Then I had a phone interview, followed by an in person interview. If I get accepted, I'll have to do an observation. Now, I just need to do my drug test and background check. This whole thing took about two weeks.

Behavioral Technical

I went to a career fair and got interviewed right away. I had prior experience at another pawnshop. I applied the day before and didn't need to prep. The district manager and another manager asked me about my past work and the questions I submitted. After the interview, they gave me a form for a urine test and told me to wait for their call. Once I completed it, the district manager called me to come in for an orientation at the Walzem rd store, which was close by and a good experience. I originally started as a team member and worked my way up to Assistant store manager/Certified Lead Pawnbroker.

Behavioral Presentation

Expect two to three interviews for this role. After that, there's the usual drug screen and other standard new hire procedures. You'll interview with the area manager and HR, sometimes together, sometimes separately. You might also meet with the regional director of operations, although they might not know much about the pawn business. Be prepared for the whole hiring process, including paperwork and training, to take weeks or even months to complete, and they might delay the promised pay.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you sell me this pen?
  • What actions would you take if you discovered employees stealing?
