It was in person, pleasant, and straightforward. The dollar raise per hour for earning a pawn brokers certificate doesn't exist. They didn't explain the numbers you have to hit before earning commission in any detail. This is a glorified inventory position. You will haul all kinds of dirty tools and cumbersome items into inventory and out. They want you to wear a dress shirt and slacks, but you will get dirty from minute one every day. You are responsible for your cash drawer, and inventory counts of jewelry and electronics on the floor daily and weekly. They discussed going to jail for a serious contract mistake.

Got a call from a recruiter who said I was a perfect fit for the role, then I had a phone interview with the DM who also thought I was a perfect fit. He wanted to hire me but mentioned a bad hiring record, so the HR Manager had to make the final call. I then interviewed with the Store Manager who wanted to hire me, followed by another interview with the HR Manager and the DM. I was given a run-down of my responsibilities. The DM asked me to write a report, which he liked. The HR Manager asked why I'd want to work for someone with less experience than me, and I said I thought I could help and make a difference. I ended up taking another job because this company seems to not want a go-getter, and their store looks bad and needs help but they have no budget. I don't recommend this place.

I was contacted about this role more than 4 months after it was posted. They asked me to come in with only 1 business day's notice and complete an online personality assessment before interviewing. The interviews themselves involved four separate hour-long one-on-one sessions. I met with the hiring manager, a peer, a staff member, and someone from HR. All the interviews felt well-structured; everyone had prepared questions about my background and about key aspects of the job and department. The interviewers were open about the department's needs and what they were looking for in this role.

I put in an application after going to a job fair. I had two years of experience already at a different pawn company. I applied online and then went for an interview the next day at their nogalitos location. I told them I was there for a job interview and was dressed casually. I met with the district manager, Cadio, who asked me questions about my past job experiences and some scenarios. They were nice and said they'd definitely consider me because of my experience. They mentioned everyone starts part-time but that they'd move me to full-time when a position opens up. After the interview, I did orientation the following week, along with a screening and background check. The week after that, I got the job offer and the location I wanted.
