First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EZ Texting.
Frontend Developer
The interview had 5 phases: a recruiter chat, a hiring manager talk, a technical interview, a system design round, and a behavioral assessment. They offered a salary lower than the industry standard, including a yearly bonus that might not materialize. While most staff were nice, the technical interview with two people from Ukraine was rough. They were super rude and had massive egos, making jokes about other frameworks because they're stuck with Angular 15. Their communication was bad; they couldn't explain what they wanted even when I asked. I wasn't planning to accept anyway, but I went through with it for the practice. I appreciated the pleasant folks, but I wouldn't work with those two Ukrainian guys for any amount of money.
- Write an iterator function that shows a fetch error only after the third error occurs, dealing with timestamps and using an outdated framework version.
- How would you design a system for a Facebook feed?
Senior Sales Development Representative
First, I had a 30-minute call with the recruiter. Then, the final interview was with two managers, and it lasted for an hour. They offered me the job the next day.
- Can you share your experience with cold calling?
Engineer
I had a total of 8 interviews, each lasting 45 minutes to an hour. I feel the same way as other reviewers; the process is way too long. About 3 of the 8 interviewers were nice: the Founder, the Engineering Manager, and one individual contributor. The other 5 made it easier to accept that I didn't get the job... Overall, the 3 people I interviewed with and the recruiter made it an okay experience. By the way, I'm taking the blame for failing because I froze on a simple coding question and how I reacted after.

Customer Operations Specialist
The process started with an email and then a follow-up phone interview. I had to follow up with the recruiter for any updates. They wanted me to come in for an in-person interview and NEVER followed up with me. It seemed really disorganized and the lack of respect for my time was really off-putting. I tried responding in a timely manner and even tried to be patient until I let it go because it just was not meant to be. I really hope you are not desperate for a paycheck when you apply for this job because you will be waiting forever. I hope everyone else has a more seamless interview process than I experienced.
- Can you tell me about your background and how you see yourself fitting into this role?
