It was my first tech interview experience with a very nice group of people, who seemed like a young talented team at this startup. The interview lasted from 9am until lunchtime, and they even ordered lunch for me. Although I didn't receive an offer, it was a valuable experience.

Technical Coding

I had a one-on-one interview. The interviewer seemed a bit behind on current technology. Their interview style felt outdated, and the questions were a bit disrespectful. They had me write code using questions found online, which wasn't what I expected given the focus on cutting-edge tech.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Write code based on standard questions found on the web.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The process was pretty straightforward. It kicked off with a phone screening. Then, there were a bunch of Zoom calls with the Science and Technology head, the VP, and HR. It wrapped up with an onsite interview panel. I also got to meet the team I'd be working with, plus folks from other departments I'd interact with, and they showed me around the office.

Had an initial interview with the hiring manager. Got a tour and learned about the product, then discussed my qualifications. I was asked back for subsequent interviews with other team members. Never heard back after the last interview.
