First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EYEMAGINE Technology.
Production Manager
Got an email to come in for an interview. It was a group interview. The company has a startup vibe and talks a lot about ethics, though I'm not sure how that applies to the role. They asked questions about processes, strategies, and achievements, which felt a bit vague, but they wanted specific examples.
- Could you explain your experience working within a team and the strategies you implemented to achieve your objectives, providing specific details?
Technical Project Manager
I sent in my application and the Administrative Director reached out pretty quickly to set up a meeting with her and the hiring manager. They basically wanted to hear about me and my resume, not really a scripted interview. After that, I had a final chat with the CEO. He seemed really excited and was looking for people who would fit in, since they figure the skills are already there to get you to that stage.
- Have you worked in E-commerce before?
Technical Project Manager
We had a group interview where 3 out of 5 people showed up. The interviewer asked questions, and each of us got a turn to answer. We rotated who went first on the questions, and everyone was given enough time to respond. Mostly, the questions were about past experiences showing some skill, approach, or understanding of managing technical development projects. After the talking part, there was a written questionnaire with about 5-6 questions where you had to write a paragraph or two, which was sort of a personality test. Then, a few days later, there was an individual interview with 2 people you would report to directly and the senior exec. I think the CEO usually does a final chat, but I guess I skipped it since I already knew him, or maybe he was just too busy!
- I didn't find any of the technical questions particularly hard for anyone qualified with e-commerce experience.
- The personality evaluation was unexpected, but not a problem.
Visual Designer
Applied online and got an email for an interview. Had to fill out some paperwork first, including a DISC evaluation. The interview itself was a group session with 4 out of 5 applicants present. The heads of HR and Inbound Marketing, along with the CEO, led the Q&A, with each of us taking turns to answer questions about our past work experiences and how we handled conflicts. Later, I got an email asking me to meet with a project manager who asked about my experience with JIRA, Magento, Git, Sketch, and other tools. Finally, I met with the CEO again, who brought up the Glassdoor reviews about company culture and turnover. We talked more, and he extended an offer that same day.
- What are your current and future salary expectations?
- Describe a workplace conflict you encountered and how you resolved it.
- Do you have experience with platforms like JIRA, Magento, Git, and Sketch?
