ServiceNow Developer
I applied online through LinkedIn and was contacted by a recruiter about a week later. The first step of the interview process was a phone call. Though I had to email the recruiter because she somehow forgot the interview time which made it run 15 mins late. The phone call was a simple "tell us about yourself" phone call. She told me the manager had already decided to move me to the next round even before the first interview was finished. I made it to the second round, which was a video call with the Manager and IT Director. It went good and I made it to the final round, but here's the part where things get interesting and shady. Before my final round I was told by the IT Director that they're not a shady company and I'll hear back regardless. I complete the final round which was a ServiceNow demo using workflows and catalog items I created. The Manager said I checked all of the boxes and had everything he was looking for and said the IT director would approve. Again the IT Director said he wanted to have this position filled by June 8th. On Monday they repost the job position and I send a follow up email that Wedensday night only to not hear back and be lied to my face and ghosted.
- Can you introduce yourself? Specifically, do you have experience with ITSM, ServiceNow workflows, and catalog items?
Communications Specialist
I applied for a communications role, even though I don't have experience in healthcare or eye care, I've done the work before. HR contacted me for a phone screen after I sent my resume, which clearly showed my lack of industry experience. I passed that and then had several interviews with the hiring manager and the team. I felt they went well and I connected with everyone. The recruiter even said the team liked my energy, enthusiasm, and ideas. So, I was surprised to get a generic rejection email. When I asked why, the recruiter said they went with candidates who had industry experience. It felt like a waste of time since they knew that from the start. It also shows a lack of leadership and direction from the decision-makers. My advice is to avoid this place if you don't have relevant industry experience, and even then, be cautious due to the poor leadership.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Do you have any ideas for solving specific challenges?
- What do you know about our company?
IT Director
First there was an HR interview, then an interview with the CIO, and then an interview with the CISO. They were all video calls. The process was pretty normal, felt good, and encouraging. But, unprofessionally, after 3 hours of interviews on different days, and even though HR always said "just text us with any questions any time", they totally ghosted me. When it looked like an offer was coming, instead there was no follow up, no reference requests or checks, no response to a request for a decision. It made me glad they showed their true company culture before I joined!
- What do you know about Eyecare Partners, and why are you interested in this role?
Optometrist
I had a phone interview with the recruiter first. Then, the medical director called me for a phone interview. After that, I met the district manager to see the office and then had dinner with the medical director. Soon after, I got the offer and the contract.
- Tell me about the most interesting patient you've encountered.
