Strategy Consultant Intern
the interview process consisted of 3 rounds of interview, and each interview round had behavioural questions and a case study, which is what you would expect from a consulting interview
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Tell me about market sizing.
- Let's work through a case study.
Associate Consultant
The interview process for this role was quite long, spanning 9 months, and felt disorganized. I applied in October 2024 for the Financial Services Strategy role. After completing the EY One Assessment and finding out I passed, I was invited to an Assessment Centre (AC) in mid-February 2025. I received confirmation of passing the AC two weeks later and was then invited to final round interviews in April, which included two case interviews and a Partner interview. The case interviews were initially scheduled back-to-back on the same day, but due to interviewer availability, the second one had to be rescheduled. The Partner interview, though virtual, was also rescheduled. Despite performing well and being told feedback would be provided within weeks, I didn't hear back until June, about 1.5 months later, with a rejection. The feedback I received was vague, simply stating other candidates were stronger. This recruitment process was much slower and less professional than other strategy roles I've encountered, and I wasn't assigned a mentor.
- For the Assessment Centre, we had a group discussion and an individual task which involved writing an email and a math test.
- The case interviews included one about market sizing in the TMT sector, and another business case focusing on the financial services industry, specifically a bank.
- In the Partner Interview, I was asked about my motivations for choosing EYP and the FS sector, and about my past experiences.
Strategy Consultant
Had a virtual first round interview for EY-Parthenon. The interviewer started with a brief intro and an overview of the interview structure. Then, we moved on to the personal fit section, which lasted 25 minutes and included questions like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Why consulting?,' 'Why EY-Parthenon?,' and 'Strengths/Weaknesses.' Following that was a 30-minute case study. The interview concluded with 5 minutes for my questions to the interviewer.
- Why are you interested in consulting?
- What makes you want to join EY-Parthenon?
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
