The hiring process was pretty standard and uncomplicated. They were really clear about the timelines and what to expect, and HR did a solid job keeping me informed about each step. Nothing about it was unexpected, so I felt well-prepared for every interview.

The job was listed as a hybrid role, but by the end of the interview I found out it's actually in person. It turns out that half of the creative team doesn't even work in Colorado. The managers are located in California. I was also told the first interview would be a 30 minute phone call, but it ended up being over Teams.

The interview process was a bit unusual. I went through two phone interviews. The first one felt good, but it was limited to exactly 30 minutes, so I couldn't ask many questions. For the second interview, the interviewer actually forgot about our scheduled call and we had to reschedule. When we finally connected, it was also only 30 minutes long, and he didn't seem very enthusiastic about the job or even his own role. It seemed like the two interviewers had different understandings of what the position actually entailed. It was a strange process.

I met with the manager and HR. They asked a lot about my past work experience and how it would fit the position. Then I had a one-on-one interview with two people. It was a pretty comfortable interview, and the manager was easy to talk to.
