Support Engineer
The interview process was very nice and relaxed, designed to keep you from feeling anxious. The managers were very kind and aimed to keep things chill throughout. They also responded very quickly. Overall, a 10/10 experience.
- What do you expect from this position?
Director of Finance
First, I had a phone screen that was kinda vague. I talked to someone who didn't really know the job I was applying for, and weirdly, I never got to talk to the person leaving the role. Then, I had an in-person interview with the CEO and some of the team. Honestly, the CEO was pretty arrogant and just bragged about himself. I really didn't like him. When I mentioned I don't have direct SaaS experience, he immediately said it was a deal-breaker and ended our chat. It's a strange HR move to bring in people without the industry experience the CEO wanted, especially for a senior leadership role. It felt like a total waste of time for everyone involved.
- Do you have SaaS experience?
Intern
The whole interview process took about three weeks. It included two phone interviews and a final in-person interview. The first phone screen was about getting to know you, your background, how you might fit in at Extole, and your interest in the role. The second phone interview was with a more senior person. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview at their office, which consisted of interviews with three different people. This part was mainly a portfolio review and a technical interview. They contacted me about the offer a few days later. I was late for the in-person interview due to a miscommunication, but they were really understanding. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
- What is your understanding of the company?
- What motivates your interest in Extole?

The interview process was straightforward, skipping the usual HR formalities and diving straight into technical questions. It started with a brief phone screening that included technical questions, followed by an on-site interview with three engineers.

- Which methods are you familiar with from the Object class?
- Could you elaborate on the equals and hashcode contract?
