So the first round was a technical interview with the team lead. He started by introducing himself and what projects they're working on, which are mostly focused on NER and OpenCV. Then he asked me to introduce myself and talk about my projects.

There were 4 rounds for the Associate Software Engineer role. First, a written test, then Technical Interview Round I. Technical Interview Round II was tougher. After that, a non-technical HR Interview, and finally Interview Round IV, which were the final interviews. The interviews went well. The Exterro office is really nice, with good interiors, one of the best in Tidel Park. Out of 20 applicants for Associate Software Engineer, 2 were selected. I was thrilled to get the job at Exterro since Coimbatore is my hometown. Getting the offer letter from Exterro felt like a dream come true. I'm happy working at Exterro now.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

Applied through a referral. There were 2 online tech rounds and 1 in-person managerial round, plus HR discussion rounds. The technical team was really good, setting clear expectations and asking relevant questions. The manager was also a cool guy. I stated my pay expectations clearly during the phone screening, and the HR and tech rounds seemed fine with it. However, during the final HR discussion, the HR manager seemed dismissive of my pay expectations and barely listened to my answers. He said he needed to check with his team and asked me to call back. I tried calling him daily for two weeks, but he kept making excuses. He never called me back, and my emails also went unanswered. Experienced folks, make sure your pay expectations are clear and get written confirmation.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Most of the questions were based on my answers.
  • They were more interested in hearing about scenarios rather than just theoretical answers.
