Operations
I went through three interviews and some online assessments. The first one was virtual with the manager, and the second was in-person with other team members. I got there a bit early for both, and they took me back right on time. They were conversational, but they did ask specific questions about my past work experience and how it connects to this role. I had plenty of time at the end of each interview to ask my own questions. Interviews can be stressful, but I felt comfortable after a few minutes because everyone was really easygoing. I got an offer the day after the last interview. The whole thing took about 3 weeks, and they kept me in the loop the whole time.

Senior Designer
I had my first in-person interview and it was pretty bad. The interviewer was 15 minutes late. Then another interviewer showed up 10 minutes later and started asking questions that had already been asked. They both seemed bored and didn't want to talk. The questions felt like they were trying to trip me up instead of seeing if I was qualified. It's fine if I'm not the right fit, but they should at least be respectful. They were both rude. The office was also bad, with old cubicles, no windows, and it wasn't clean. This is weird because they say they're leaders in design, but their office doesn't match that, making me wonder how they treat their employees and value their workspace.

Concierge
Got an email about 12 hours after applying to interview, which was the night before. Since we were just starting to shelter in place, I was worried about going to NYC but asked if we could meet virtually. They confirmed it would be a Zoom interview and gave me a time. I was on the call five minutes early but the interviewer was 10 minutes late. I figured maybe he was having a rough day due to the circumstances. During the interview, he kept looking away and muting himself. It seemed like he was also talking to someone off-screen, which was unprofessional, and I had to wait for him to unmute before he could ask questions. He barely paid attention to me. He only asked me to go over my resume and didn't ask anything about customer service, why I wanted the job, or about the company. He seemed completely checked out. Having been on the other side of interviews, I know good practices and this was the worst experience ever.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Development Associate
So the interview process went like this: first, there was a model assessment that was pretty long and detailed. After that, I had an interview where they asked about my past experience, and also threw in some back-of-the-napkin calculations. And they also wanted me to walk through the model I submitted.
