I was a bit skeptical after getting an email because I'd been through a lot of marketing and sales interviews that were basically door-to-door jobs with commission only. But after I spoke with Ashley on the phone, I felt better that Explosive Advertising didn't have anything like that. When I went in to meet Melvin, I was really impressed right away. The building, the sports vibe with ESPN on in the lobby, and the friendly receptionist – it all made me excited! The first interview was about 30-45 minutes, and they just wanted to get to know me and talk a lot about the company culture.

I applied online and got a call from HR the very next day, which was super quick even though the job said 'immediate hire.' The HR lady was really nice and professional. She asked if I wanted full-time or part-time and if the location worked for me. Then I came in for an interview and talked with the staff, getting a better feel for the company. This part was about 30 minutes, pretty much what I figured. The day after, I had a second interview and met even more of the staff, who seemed as stoked about the company as the manager from the first chat. Didn't get the job, but I really liked the whole experience and would totally suggest this company to others. Just check it out yourself!

On Monday morning Ashley called me and asked a few questions and gave me a brief overview of the company. She was really nice and personable. She gave me the chance to meet directly with Director Melvin. When I got to the office, they greeted me and gave me an application. I immediately noticed a good vibe, everyone seemed happy to be there. The interview wasn't too hard, the director was nice and explained in detail what they do and what the job involves. I'm hoping they call me back, I would really like to work with this Explosive worldwide!

I thought I was applying for an account manager role, but during the interview, they clarified that the position actually involved selling directTV at a Costco. They did mention it could grow into a management role, but it made me question their credibility since they were misleading from the start. While I understand training can differ, they should have disclosed the sales component during the initial phone screening.
