Applied on LinkedIn and completed a phone screen and then two on-site interviews. I thought the first two interviews went well, but I never heard back after the final round. The final round lasted maybe 10 minutes, and the interviewer gave the impression that he would rather be doing anything else than interviewing me. I feel like I didn’t get a fair shot since I meet the qualifications. A week later, after no contact from the recruiter, I got a generic rejection email. Couldn’t even get actual feedback on why they passed. Also, I saw they re-opened the job the next day on LinkedIn while I was still waiting to hear back.

They'll reach out by email or phone to get the ball rolling. First up, you chat with the HR recruiter. It's pretty basic, just 'tell me about yourself.' After that, you'll meet with the director and the hiring manager. It's the same deal, again 'tell me about yourself.'

The recruiter did a thorough job explaining the company culture and specifics of the role. Then, there was a prescreen, followed by an in-person interview with the hiring manager. I got an offer about two weeks after everything wrapped up.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone screen with HR where we talked about the job and if it was a fit. Then I had an interview with the department manager and another director. It seemed to be going okay until the manager admitted they'd already offered the job to someone else, even though they had more candidates to interview after me. They asked if I'd be interested in another position if it ever opened up, but it wasn't available and there was no timeline for it. I said I'd be open to discussing other roles that fit my skills. I answered a few more questions and that was it. Looking back, I should have just left when they told me the job was filled. It felt unprofessional to say that mid-interview, and then to suggest another job that wasn't even available felt like a bad move. They wasted my time and travel expenses, and also the time of the other candidates who were scheduled to interview.
