It was all virtual, with technical interviews and then a chat with HR. They were clear about everything, the interviewers were good, and it all went pretty smoothly and was organized well.

The interview for the Junior Security Operations Engineer role was really structured and professional, with a few rounds that tested my basic technical knowledge, how I approach problems, and my general attitude. The interviewers were pretty nice and asked stuff directly related to security ops and the basics.

Behavioral Technical

It was a good experience overall. They mostly asked me about product management concepts and how I applied them at my previous company, with questions aligning directly with the job description. I didn't receive any feedback after the final round, and I felt the HR communication could have been a bit better.

Behavioral Case

The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by a call with the sales manager. The final round involved an interview with four people. SocialSurvey is trying to expand into the enterprise SaaS CX market by hiring many sales roles. Three of the people I interviewed with had been there less than 8 months and lacked prior CX experience. I suspect no offer was extended because I didn't sufficiently explain how to plan a new territory. This is strange since I received three different strategies from the interviewers on how they would approach it (targeting different verticals and horizontal markets). Considering the company's unclear GTM strategy and apparent lack of CX leadership and differentiation, I'd caution enterprise CX SaaS sales professionals during their interview process with SocialSurvey.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What's your approach to building out a new territory?
  • How do you typically manage objections?
