First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Expeditors.
Agent
I had an initial HR screening call that went really well. After that, I had a video interview with the hiring manager. During the video interview, the hiring manager unexpectedly decided to make it a skills/technical test, which I wasn't prepared for. The interview lasted for over an hour. I was initially told I'd get a response by the end of the week, but I didn't hear back. I followed up the following week, and a few days later, I received a very brief response stating they were pursuing a different direction. While I understand interviews can vary, I wasn't expecting to be asked technical questions for more than 25 minutes in what was supposed to be an introductory interview. I also didn't like being ignored past the deadline for a response. Aside from those points, the rest of the experience was fine.
- Can you introduce yourself?

I was initially looked at for one department, but then another one picked me up. First, there was a phone screening. After that, I had an interview with two managers, followed by a third interview with two more managers. This last interview was also with the District Manager to get vetted. They asked typical interview questions like what are your strengths and weaknesses, name a time you struggled with something, etc. Make sure you know the company's culture points.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a situation where you faced a significant challenge.
- Are you familiar with our company's core values and cultural aspects?
Agent
The interviewer started off by pointing out how old our systems are. She mentioned the company is Fortune 200 but didn't share much else. When I mentioned my boss was on paternity leave, the recruiter seemed to find it amusing, as if that's not welcomed at Expeditors. The second interviewer didn't show up, so she suggested rescheduling for next week. The whole interview process felt disorganized and outdated, though there were snacks available.
- Were you aware that our systems are outdated?
