First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Expeditors.
Accountant
I sent in my application online via Indeed. A few days later, an email arrived to schedule the interview. It was downtown Seattle, so you'd need to take a bus or pay for parking. There are two rounds of interviews. The first round is with the department supervisor. They might have 2 or 3 people interviewing and taking notes. The interview lasts 15 to 30 minutes. They'll ask if you have any questions at the end. If you pass the first round, they'll call you for a second round interview with the Senior Accountant manager, which is the final step. Once you pass the second round, they'll call or let you know they're moving forward with your background check. After passing the background check, you'll be notified of your start date. The entire process usually takes about 1.5 to 2 weeks.

Accounts Receivable Specialist
I went through 3 interviews for this role. The first one was with the Department Manager and Supervisors, mostly to check my fit with the team and my qualifications. The second interview, with two managers from unrelated departments, felt more like a personality assessment to see how I'd work with people across different areas. The final interview was with the District Manager, which was mainly an attitude check and to understand my motivations for wanting the job, department, and company.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Accountant
The interview process was very professional. They told me I'd hear back regardless of their decision on a second interview. I didn't get any call or email, even after I sent a thank you and followed up.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
