Business Intelligence Specialist
The hiring process involves several stages for bringing in new employees. It mostly includes interviews that can be either one-on-one, with a group of candidates, or with a panel. These interviews are done in person, over the phone or by email, or through video conferencing tools. We had a Zoom interview for the first round where we chatted a bit, and I introduced myself and the company.
- What are the advantages of Power BI compared to Tableau?
Technical Support Representative
Applied online, got an email saying the role was filled but they still wanted to do a phone interview. Responded yes and the recruiter said they liked my resume and I just had to wait for another opening. Another position opened in October, applied and had a 40 min phone interview. Set up an in-person interview with local and regional hiring managers. They were curious about my past work experience and schooling. The interview went well, questions were mostly about my personality and work ethic. Finished with an assessment that had 50 questions in 12 mins covering math, english, wordplay, and other topics, getting harder as I went. Took a personality test after. Was offered a tour and told I'd hear back the next week. They contacted me at the end of the week saying they went a different direction but would keep my resume for at least 12 months. Experience was insightful, they seem like a great company.
- What qualities define a good leader in your view?
- Describe your process for troubleshooting a device.
Service Desk Analyst
The hiring process is long but they are looking for passionate IT people interested in an IT career. Very detailed with lots of phone calls to different people in management. You will be required to answer some IT related questions to gauge your knowledge. The interviewers are very knowledgeable in several subjects in IT so they are prepared to ask difficult questions and know the correct answers.
- What technologies pique your interest?
- Do you prefer to explore various IT domains or specialize in a particular area?
Tech Support
Had 2 phone interviews. The first one was with a recruiter and was technical. The second one was with the manager and supervisor and wasn't related to the job at all, which shows how they pick people. It was kind of about your background, where you've worked, and what you're doing now, not really about your technical skills or how you'd fit the role.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
- What do you do in your spare time?
