Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Expedia (IT).
Software Engineer Intern
So, it was an online assessment that had 6 multiple choice questions and 2 coding questions. The multiple choice ones were pretty straightforward, mainly about data structures and their complexity. Then there were the two coding questions, one was like a LeetCode medium problem, and the other involved regular expressions.
- The questions were all part of an online assessment.
Software Engineer
The interview began with a skill test focusing on office etiquette and company culture, involving watching videos about diversity and inclusion from employees. Following this, there was a Hackerrank test for the Front End role, which surprisingly included back-end oriented questions like hash maps.
- Can you find complementary pairs?
- How do you determine string palindromes?
Software Development Engineer
The interview process has 3 rounds. First is DSA, with 2 Leetcode medium questions. Second is low level system design where you just make classes and show connections, plus a resume discussion. Third is a behavioural round with 5-7 scenario based questions.
- Do you have any questions related to dynamic programming?
- A question related to DP was asked.
